SCIENTIFIC PAPERS
RULES FOR PRESENTATION OF PAPERS
  1. The scientific papers should be submitted only through the restricted area of the participant.

  2. The approved works will be presented as free videos, free themes or video poster.

  3. The best free videos will be selected for presentation at the main plenary of the specialty during the regular sessions of the scientific program. The other free videos will be presented in a specific room for this purpose. At the discretion of the Scientific Committee the free videos may be included as videos posters or free themes.

  4. The Scientific Committee (SC) may change the form of presentation of approved papers. The main author may accept present in the form chosen by SC (if different from the form submission) or withdraw the paper.

  5. Deadline for submission of papers: by March 6th, 2018 - 06:00pm

  6. The author to present the work must be registered at the event and have paid membership for the submission of papers to be released.
    • The payments made by credit card have automatic immediate release because the payment is online.
    • The payments made by bank slip, deposit or wire transfer depend on clearance and bank information. In these modes the payment should be made by March 1st, 2018 so that there is enough time for clearance and check out in the system.

  7. Format for submission:
    • Title: should be written in capital letters;
    • Author and co-authors: they should start by surnames followed by the initials of first names, separated by commas. Limit of 6 co-authors. In addition to that, each institution must be informed.
    • The drafting of the texts should be divided into items: Introduction / Objectives; Materials, Casuistry and Methods; Results / Discussion; Conclusions.
    • Maximum size of body text: 3,000 characters with spaces (not including the title, authors and institutions).

  8. It is essential to send the film/power point according to the settings below for all kind of presentation. Summaries sent without their files will be automatically declassified.

    • Video poster format:
      Power point settings:
      - slides presentation: automatic mode
      - maximum duration: 7 minutes ("loop" mode)
      - maximum file size: 100 MB
      - slide orientation: portrait. Size: 16:9

      As suggestion the paper should be from 8 to 12 slides and contain:
      - Authors’ complete names and institution affiliations: 1 slide
      - Presentation + Introduction + Objective: 1 to 3 slides
      - Methods: 2 to 3 slides
      - Results: 3 to 4 slides
      - Discussion: 1 to 2 slides
      - Conclusion: 1 slide

    • Important note: submissions in any formatting different from reported above will be automatically disqualified.

      Click here to download the presentation model proposed by the Scientific Committee for formatting digital panels. The TVs will be 47 inch, full HD, and will be positioned vertically.

    • Free Video format: video settings:
      - maximum duration: 7 minutes
      - maximum file size: 700 MB
      - recommended proportions:
         4 x 3 – 480 x 360 resolution
         16 x 9 – 640 x 360 resolution
      - formats: mp4 or wmv or mpg or mpeg or avi or flv

    • Free theme format:
      - Power point settings: slide orientation landscape
      - maximum duration: 7 minutes
      - maximum file size: 700 MB

  9. Changes will not be allowed after the submission deadline of the paper and not even the file replacement (power point) to be presented at the event.

  10. There is no limit on summaries by author, but it will not be accepted more than a summary based on the same research project.

  11. The limit of authors for each paper: one author (who will be the presenter of the paper) and up to six co-authors. The presenter will be responsible for submitting the paper.

  12. The author might declare his/her option (free theme, free video or video poster). The Scientific Committee will meet the author's option whenever possible.

  13. After the paper submission, the author will receive the confirmation through the e-mail registered at the inscription. This confirmation message is the guarantee that the paper was sent correctly. If you do not receive the email with the submission confirmation, you should immediately contact the executive secretariat of the event before the deadline of the submission.

  14. The status of acceptance of papers will be available at the restrict area “Online Secretariat” of the author who have submitted the papers.

  15. Sending the work represents a definitive commitment of the author (s) to present the work, if accepted, during the Congress and allow its display (video) on the SOBRACIL website.

  16. Doubts will be settled by the Event Organizing Committee.

CERTIFICATES

Only one certificate will be issued only for each paper accepted and presented. It shall contain the names of the author and all co-authors.
